Bridlington Comic Con 2022 is back and we have an Ace up our Sleeve!
 
We are thrilled that Sophie Aldred will be joining us this year. From 1987 to 1989, Sophie battled Daleks, Cyberman and The Master in Doctor Who as the seventh Doctor’s companion, Ace. Ace has had somewhat of a resurgence in the last few years. She was mentioned in The Sarah Jane Adventures as having set up a charity called A Charitable Earth (ACE). The charity was expanded on in the promotional film for the season 27 Blu-ray boxset with Sophie reprising the role, and in 2020 she wrote the Doctor Who novel At Childhoods End (ACE) It is no wonder that we’re all about to meet up with Ace again in the next Doctor Who special for Jodie Whittaker’s regeneration!
As well as being Ace, you may also have heard Sophie voice a number of your favourite TV characters over the years including Dennis the Menace and Tree Fu Tom!
